I knew both Sara and Jason before they were an item, when we all were just teammates on a company soccer team called "Those Phools". I was there the night they decided they wanted to take that step towards itemdom and I've been there ever since... not literally of course. That would be weird.

Jason is one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet and Sara (aka Spanky, a nick name to this day I'm not sure where it came from) is one of the coolest gals you'll ever meet. They have been amazing friends to me over these last few years and so when I heard they were going to have a baby I couldn't have been more excited for them. This kid is going to be one nice, cool, soccer playing phool. :)

This is my gift to them, pics of their little one, Ryan Patrick Cary. In most of these he has his pacifier in his mouth. That's the only way we could get him to stop crying. I don't know why he was so distressed. Maybe it had something to do with the complete stranger looming over him holding a giant contraption flashing a million watts of light into his face.

This was an especially meaningful shoot for me as I've known Jessica since she was just 10 years old. To me she's always been my "mei mei", which means little sister in Mandarin. 18 years later, all grown up and she's still my mei mei.

Ryan is so great. I'm not one of those people who says, "As long as my friends are happy." Why? because I want to be happy too! And Ryan is one of those guys who not only makes Jess happy but makes me happy. I couldn't have found a more perfect guy for someone so near and dear to me.

We shot in Manhattan Beach and it was FREEZING, well as freezing as it could be in Los Angeles. Still they were pros, joking and laughing the whole time. At one point they even broke out into an impromptu dance session.

We ended the session down by the beach just in time to catch the last bit of sunlight. Everyone and their mom walked in front of us when we were trying to shoot this, but I think I managed to get a good one!

Last Saturday, I joined a group of extraordinary women as they dined in a private room at the phenomenal Zola Restaurant in Washington DC, and celebrated 10 years of friendship. As I listened to these women share their amazing stories and express their appreciation for each other, I realized that friendship couldn't even begin to describe what they had. They were more like family, that is if you could pick your family from the best of the best. It was truly an inspirational evening.

The staff at Zola was incredible. Everything was beautifully arranged. Here are some photos from the night. I didn't post any of the group as it was a private affair. Just know they were all beautiful and fabulous!

Friday I went to see my friends Drew and Phil aka The Arrangement rock out at Judge's Bench in Ellicott City, MD. Before hand I enjoyed giant margaritas and tamales with my good friends Chrissy and Brett.
